FAMILYBOARD / TERMS

A few simple terms.

Effective November 1, 2026

FamilyBoard is a personal, self-hosted project maintained by Lucas Van Drunen. These terms describe use of this informational website and the project.

Using FamilyBoard

Use the software only with accounts, calendars, and photo albums you are authorized to access. You are responsible for configuring your installation, protecting its computer and home network, and deciding which information is appropriate for your shared display.

Availability and accuracy

FamilyBoard is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation or error-free data. Calendar, photo, and weather integrations depend on third-party services and can be delayed or unavailable. Check the original calendar for time-sensitive plans.

Software and third-party services

The FamilyBoard software distribution includes an MIT license. That license governs rights to use, copy, and modify the software. Google, Apple, Open-Meteo, and the website hosting provider have their own applicable terms and policies. FamilyBoard is an independent project and is not endorsed by those providers.

Privacy

See the FamilyBoard privacy policy for information about access, storage, use, and deletion of data.
